Vote For Tia LeBrun

Local Solutions, Not Party Politics

My Bio

I am an educator, a member of the Houma Nation, a wife, a mother, and a candidate for Congress in Louisiana's Third Congressional District.

I entered this race because the people of South Louisiana deserve representation focused on solving problems, not on political theater.

Across our district, families and businesses are facing real challenges. Insurance costs continue to rise. Healthcare remains difficult to access for many communities. Coastal erosion threatens our economy and way of life. Small businesses struggle with uncertainty, and many young people wonder whether they can build their futures here at home.

These are not Democratic issues or Republican issues. They are Louisiana issues.

As someone who has spent my career working with students and families, I understand that leadership begins with listening. The people I meet every day are asking for practical solutions. They want elected officials who show up, who understand their challenges, and who are willing to look beyond differences to get things done.

I believe Congress needs more problem-solvers and fewer performers.

One of my priorities will be addressing the insurance crisis. Families, homeowners, and businesses are being priced out of the communities they love. We need federal leadership that supports disaster resilience, strengthens mitigation investments, increases transparency in insurance markets, and creates long-term solutions for coastal states.

We must expand access to quality healthcare, invest in workforce development, support public education, and create economic opportunities that allow our children and grandchildren to find success right here.

My Key Issues

Our Culture

Access to affordable childcare, healthcare, and world-class education to preserve and revitalize Louisiana communities.

Our Economy

Louisiana has been an energy leader for decades. Let's expand our energy expertise to prepare our workers for a future that includes renewables. Small businesses, including small/boutique farms, need our support, and SNAP benefit programs should include local farms.

Our Land

Coastal Louisiana urgently needs investment in infrastructure to protect communities from storm surges and land loss. We must preserve our coast, provide home-hardening support, and, through risk reduction and national insurance reforms, offer citizens relief from the insurance crisis.
